Marina land

Off the hook and back in marina land, where Lawson and I are happily sipping cocktails with ice and Tristan is glued to the iPad, now showing all of his favorite shows and movies thanks to that wonderful thing called wifi. Hot showers are another part of the luxuries at a marina vs. the hook, but it still seems outrageous that we have to pay $100+ a night but that is the going rate at these Miami marinas, which most were full and we were lucky to get this spot. However there are a few drawbacks here: no laundry! We are getting close to laundry crisis mode but nothing I can’t solve by some hand washing and using our lines around the boat as drying lines. Tomorrow I think we may just cab into Coconut Grove and drop it off at a place that does it for you and do lunch/explore. Who knows – top priority is to get diesel and water which we are on the deisel people’s schedule because they have to bring it here – another thing they don’t have here . Plus their pump-out is not working. Ugh. But we pumped out the day we left Ft. Laud so we should be good for the crossing. Speaking of which…. No winds in sight without the north wind – so could be two weeks or more before we can cross! Ugh. We’re just hoping the forecast will change and have all provisions ready to roll so we can leave on a dime. We’re ready to see The Bahamas!
