One of the coldest winters in years. I guess that is the same thing going on in the U.S. as Lawson talked to his folks today and they said it was 29 degrees in St. Pete, FL. Say waaaaa? I haven\u2019t talked to my family yet so I don\u2019t know how cold it is in Missouri but I can only imagine. The Internet has been down the last three days in Eleuthera so we haven\u2019t had access to what\u2019s up. It really blows. It\u2019s cold. We\u2019re stuck here until Monday because another blow is coming in tonight and as of yet, we have no Internet.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday though it was chilly and overcast we took a \u201cnature walk\u201d on the beach and had Tristan take pictures of different things we found. There were car tracks in the sand along the beach until it met a large pool where the grass flats on the right met the beach on the left. We spent part of the time walking along the path where we saw all the different kinds of shrubs \u2013 palmettos, sea grapes and pretty succulents. The rest of the time we clambered around the limestone that dropped off to the beach. Lots of pools formed within the limestone where we found limpets, sea urchins and other creatures.<\/p>\n<p>By now we have planned our trip home. Leave Monday and travel for three to four consecutive days of anchorages, weather permitting: Highbourne Cay, West Bay, Chub Cay, Miami. That is the tentative plan anyway.\u00a0We haven\u2019t mapped out our return to St. Pete from Miami\u00a0but it will probably go something like: The Keys, Naples, St. Pete.\u00a0So we could be &#8220;home&#8221; by the first week of March.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Home&#8221; until we find jobs will continue to be on Curlew at a marina in downtown St. Pete.
