Road trip

We hit the road Monday around 2:30. Here’s a recap of where we’ve been so far.

Gallup, NM – This is as far as we got the first night. Stopped at two different hotels before we found a room. Guess it’s a busy place because it’s the only place in the middle of nowhere.

Carthage, MO – Made a long haul to get to my folks house. Relaxed the whole next day. Lots of good food, wine and love. Left Thursday after a yummy authentic Mexican lunch at the new restaurant in town.

Kansas City, MO – Spent an evening with my sister Lisa, bro-in-law Jason and niece June. Plus brother Chris. Fab dinner and the cousins opened presents and hung out. June is very special to T as she is his only first cousin.

Memphis, TN – on our way there now. About 7-8 hours driving through the country. Going to see my best friend from high school. Haven’t seen her in like 12 years I think. More later…posting via I-phone is tedious.

If you need a place to lay your head in Chattaboogie, you can stay at mine. Let me know how long you’ll be in FL, maybe I can grab a cheap flight and come for a quick visit.

Hey April! Just saw this comment. I guess there were a bunch of comments stuck in cyberspace. Still trying to learn how to use this blog! :o( Anyway, Merry Christmas! We’re here until Sunday. Let’s talk as we get into our trip and figure out a way for you to join us for a spell. Do you have a passport? I don’t think Puerto Rico requires a passport but I’m not sure how far south we’ll make it. We can only go through March. Zoe may come on her Spring Break. Maybe you two could come together? We’ll look into the options…
