Climbed aboard Curlew II for the first time and happy to say I’m not disappointed. She’s not as big as our previous boat and a little rough around the edges in places, but all in all, she’ll do just fine.
I started wiping my way through the cabins (bedrooms) then wiped up the galley (kitchen) until we called it a day. Wipes work great – how would I survive without them? Meanwhile Lawson was bailing out the dingy and got the motor off it – it needs to be dropped off to a mechanic for some work. We’re hoping the fix cost there will be minor.
There is lots of stuff on the boat – some we can use, others will need to be hauled off. Two good surprises: dishes and towels. The towels are nice and in great shape so well just need to wash them. I guess the doctor who owned Curlew II before had good taste in towels.
Well I guess I better get ready for another day of wiping all the dust and dirt away, from stem to stern. So much to do but I’m trying to get used to this thing called island time.
