We had a great day exploring the 100-mile island of Eleuthera today. Driving on the “country” roads at times looked like it could be anywhere – Tennessee, Forida, Missouri. But then the sound would come into view in all its brilliant blue glory. We passed through town after town – made it as far as the glass bridge – a landmark that is basically a bridge of limestone where the deep blue of the Atlantic is on one side and the turquoise of the sound is on the other.
We stocked up on supplies on the way home then ran around our marina, took in the sunset, and Lawson befriended one of the marina guests who just came in with a big catch of mahi – and gave us a bunch of it. Turns out he is from the Tampa Bay Area as well as another couple here. Small world.
Tonight we are having fresh mahi for dinner – yay! And we saw a beautiful sunset tonight from the marina.
I wish I could have fresh Mahi for dinner. 🙂
